How many are running the YFZ 508 stroker?
>>And whats up with the spacer problem on the stroker falicon, they have been saying you need to run a spacer but some people havent.
Let's see. Stroking the crank 4mm will raise the piston 2mm higher. A 5mm longer rod will raise the piston even higher, for a total of 9mm higher. So if they don't install a spacer plate, I guess they must not be bolting their head on. Or they only run the engine part of one revolution. <smile>
Now some folks are running the bike engine in their quad, and the bike does not use a spacer plate. That's kind of expensive, though.
We also race-prep stock cranks and install the Knife Rod. It doesn't use a spacer, but it's not a stroker.

You can get CP470 piston for $200, Big Bore Gasket Kits $43, and sending your cylinder to get Bore and Re-Plated. Would cost around $500 if yuo did it yourself. Check out http://www.velocityracingatv.com/ for CP pistons and other cool stuff lol.

Yep. Engine size can deceive you. On our work with the Honda CRF, we found putting our larger cylinder on a stock stroke gave us very little increase in power. But stroking the crank on a stock-size bore made the engine come alive. Now, once we stroked it, our 98mm cylinder worked great. It's all about bore/stroke ratio and being able to achieve complete combustion before the crank rotates about 35 degrees after top dead center. This is one reason why increasing the bore beyond a certain point can actually decrease your power. Or make it freaky....
The Falicon 450cc Screamer kit for the Polaris Predator will stomp a stock 500cc Predator, even though it is 10% smaller.
But what do I know?
