Default Converting 97 blaster brakes to 03?

Hey everyene. My brother and i built my bros gf a 97 blaster. She loves it alot and has a great time riding it. One of the problems we have been havin is the front brakes never work as well as we would like. I know that the 03 and 04 blasters have hydrolic brakes. Is it as easy as swapping the hubs and spindles off an 03 onto our 97. Or does it require more work? If anyone has any info about this please let me know. Also i have heard that certain suspension parts from banshees and warriors also swap over onto blasters. Any info on that would be great as well. thanks

I think the brakes are a direct swap, however you will need to change everything from the spindles back.

What parts are you looking to change?
You can add banshee front shocks to the blaster that will give it another 2'' travel and raise the front end a bit. Also you can change out the axle. I believe the shee one is +2 compared to the blaster but you have to make a mount for the brakes. The blaster uses a floating disk and a stationary caliaper. You have to have at least one floating. The shee axle is a stationary rotor so you have to do somthing about that.
The banshee uses the same bolt pattern as the blaster in the front end, 4/156. The rear hubs from a shee can be put on a blaster to make it a 9'' rim, but again it changes the bolt pattern in the rear.

also, you can put a 250r or 400ex shock in the rear, but it makes it ride alot higher

Yes but you need to modify it. The bushings are not the same size so you need to get new bushings made or drill out the mounts and get larger pins.

Yeah thats what im talkin about the front shocks off a banshee would be great. Stock blaster suspension really sucks. What about a banshee shock in the rear?? We were thinking about just gettin an extended blaster axle and probably +2 front blaster a arms. Maybe a longer blaster swingarm if they make it. She really loves her blaster but we want to make it handle super nice. Thanks for the info. My bro actually has a friend with stock banshee front shocks just layin around.
