Wolverines and paddle tires??
#1
I have heard that you shouldn't put paddle tires on a 4wd...and then I have heard you can put them on anything. The Wolverine I bought for my wife goes really good, but I think she would get better grip with the paddles on the rear...I have been told not too, something about the way the tires need to rotate???
Anyone know anything about that???
Thanks...

The main concern is the diameter of the tires. If you can get a 23" paddle for the rear in a 12" rim size it should be ok. If you have a 424 on the bike you can run whatever size you want on the back with no damage to the differentials. Otherwise you will need to stick to 23" diameter tires. I'm not sure if there are paddles available in 12" diameter. Wheels smaller than 12" will hit the brake rotor. Wheel spacers can solve this problem if you want to run a smaller diameter wheel thus giving you more options for tires.

Madwolverine hit it on the spot. If you do happen to get 2 diffrient "kinds" of tires mounted front and back, besure to measure the height with a tape, do not rely on the sidewall reading. They do not always show accual size.
Although, there are some mud tires, when aired down, behave like sand tires.

You can put 10in rims on a Wolverine, as I am about to do. Ive heard that it will just barely fit over the brake caliper, if it doesnt, Im going to use Durablue spacers, then I know that it will. You can put any tires size that you want to on it, as long as you stay the same for the front and the back. Im going to rum 22" tires on mine, and Im sure they make 22" paddles. As long as the front and rear are spnning at the same rate, you are ok.
