Default YFZ Plastics

I have recently had a little crash and my plastics are a little off colored. It has white marks where it was bent a little. I just order the Adapt Racing graphics and want to put them on fresh plastics. Does anyone know if Yamaha Dealerships sell stock plastics? I would like to get after market plastics but I'm on a little bit of a budget right now. So does anyone know if they are even sold and if they are what the prices are for them?

I'm sure your dealer would be happy to sell OEM plastics to you, personally I would go with aftermarket, they are not that expensive, and I cant imagine Yamaha underselling aftermarket, and if they did I don't think it would be much less. Call your local dealer! Also you can get a plastic renew kit for around $35 bucks I think, I cant remember the brand name but it makes your old plastics look new. From what I have seen it works really good, but its a good half days work.

Hey thanks for the reply. Sorry it took so long for me to respond I've been out dune riding for the last two days. Anyway, I have looked into the plastic renewal kits but the problem is my plastics have a few cracks in them. I have called my Yamaha Dealer but they are a bunch of bastards. I was looking at the Maier plastics that are already race cut but they are $210.00. Do you have any estimate on how much new stock plastics would cost?

Stock plastics will cost you around $300 for all new, front, rear, side panels etc... You can get Laker Custom for $350 from some dealers, their very nice looking plastics. Go to www.lakercustom.com

Stock plastics cost $300.00? Wow thats a little more than I thought. If they cost that much I think that I will just buy some aftermarket plastics. Those Maier plastics are $210.00 for the front plastics that are already race cut. I think that I would like that. But I would need back plastics and I still haven't been able to find a price on those from Maier.

Do a search on ebay and you'll come up with about 20 sets of stock plastic for sale. I see them there everyday.

I don't know if I trust eBay though. I have had some weird experiences with it.

You just have to enter the transaction with caution. I highly doubt twenty different people would go out of their way to burn you on a set of plastics.
