Default Soon to be Yamaha owner!

Hello everyone, I have been reading these boards for about a week now. I have learned alot. I am about to purchase my first atv. I have decided to buy a blaster. Hopefully, I will be able to pick it up this weekend (if I get off work in time). I got my local dealer down to $2899.00 on an '05' model. Does this sound like a good deal? Anyway, Just wanted to introduce myself and I'm sure I'll be posting here often.

By the way. Is there anything I really need to know when I get my blaster. Things to do before I get going. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you buy and/or wear a helmet.

well take it easy on it until you know how to ride well. Dont do anything beyond your limits. Beyond that its just regular maintenance. Clean the air filter, keep it filled with gas and oil, wash it when it needs it and it should run fine. Brand new you will have to take it easy the first few rides however to break it in.
for mods i would start with tires, a k&n air filter, etc. however mine is bone stock and still kicks ***! lol have fun and ride safe
