Default YFZ Compression Relief Valve/Plug

Yeah it will pop out after the rubber shrinks alittle bit. There is an after market one that is made that the little bolt on the side holds in place so it cant pop out. Actually I was told it has something to do with the dirt bike and isnt used on the quads. I dont know if that is right or wrong though.

yamaha used the same heads for almost all there high rev 4 strokes for a while... when they got rid of the manual decomression they jus shoved a plugg in its place... they do pop out quite frequently... its a very good idea to get an aftermarket billet plug.

ah! finally what I needed to here. mine is a 05. must be one of the differences between a 450F and a 450T. I should of waited till next year though. they will be 449cc instead of 439cc. o'well.

That is correct. They are only needed on the 04's
The 05's apparently don't need this. BUT, if you have an 04, it is a cheap but wise investment to get one![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

i seriously think its a must!!! i was racing when mine popped out... 2nd place catching first quick!!! i was pissed!!!!!!!!
if ur out in the trails alone and htis pops out u better have a cell phone to call a buddy... cause u definitly dont want all ur oil squirting out!
