Default Honda Rancher 350 vs. Grizzly 660

I have an 04' Honda Rancher 350 and it is pretty good all round except it is a little weak on power. I am interested in a Grizzly 660. I live in Alaska and was wondering if anyone could give me some info on how they are in cold conditions and if they have good power.

Thanks.

The grizzly has great power but it takes a few minutes to start in the cold// once the engines warmed up, its grea, ,you got to watch snow freezing up the radiator

My griz really liked the cold when it was stock. We will see now that I have modified it. They come slightly rich from the factory, which is ideal for the denser, cold air. As far as putting against the rancher, no contest. The griz will walk throught just about anything you can throw at it. I recommend buying new tires right away. Possibly as part of a deal from the dealer. The stockers suck. Dirt Devils rule on everything. Especially, in the 26".

Thanks for your guys help. Also every one up here has Honda and I like to be different from everyone else. Most people up here have blackwater tires. Are those good tires or are there better ones?

Crazy? I didn't quite understand that one.

I'm like you man. Everyone here praises Honda and would buy absolutely nothing but one. If you took a concrete block, put four lawnmower tires on it and a twisted up rubber band for a motor, and then slapped a honda sticker on the side of it, they would buy it in a heartbeat, and then brag on it to no ends.

I got an Arctic Cat to be different. Had no problems with it. Then got a Grizzly when they came out. Everyone makes a pretty good quad. One thing you might look at is the new Suzuki with fuel injection. Might make a difference for you up there in the cold maybe. Its got all the same features the Grizzly has as well.
