Does anyone know approximate prices for powder coating a frame, a-arms, and swingarm? Also, has anybody powdercoated their frames? If so, how has it held up, and what di you pay?

I did my floorboards with some stuff I found at Autozone, its an aerosol spray can, called TruckBedLiner, it dries thick, rubbery and hard. It seems perfect.

Solid color is cheaper than a two color option. I spent $900 on powdercoating on my 87 zilla. that was silver vein( two color paint) a arms swing arm and alot of small items. We recently had a 300ex frame podwercoated for $300 solid red with a zinc primer first. I would say about $200-250 for the frame and $300-350 for a custom 2 color paint.

If your going to spend the money and have someone do the paint job you should consider E-coat. It is an electrolisis painting. I had some skid plates done and have not rusted in 8 years. Give it some thought...

E-coating is a painting process that is supposed to bond to the pores of the metal. When doing E-coat there is no need to seal the paint, and it stands up to punishment much better than powdercoat. I have tested both on sample parts in a lab and the E-coat was consistently better at rust protection by at least twice as long. On the down side it can be much more expensive depending on the capabilities of the E-caot facilities in your area.
