Default Aggressive riding Grizzly

I have 27” 589’s that I put on in the winter time for running in snow, but for fast trail riding I think the 26” Dirt Devils are better (just the right amount of bite and easy to slide around on) for the Grizzly. The 589’s have more grip than the Dirt Devils or the stock tires. When going slow through technical sections (such as up a creek bank or up a steep section off the trail in the woods) the 589’s will actually perform as good or better in 2WD as the Dirt Devils or stockers do in 4WD (then you still have the 4WD & 4WD lock option for even better grip)...

For your driving style Just drive the Kawi P700/Suz TP first, trust me it got the most "sport" blood of them all, i've driven them both. I also hear the new King Quad is the way to go but I havent driven that one yet. Listen I drive a Yamaha, but this is not what your looking for.

Get a copy of July 04 Dirt wheels, they have the "big bore" shootout, where the Twin-peaks/Prarie 700 got a first place by all riders, second Sportsman 700EFI, 3rd the Grizzly

If you can get a copy send me a privite message with your email and I will sent you the article!

The 27's do rob some of the low end power on take off. A clutch kit would probably take care of that. It still has lots of power with the big tires on it.

I don't put any faith in what the damm magazines say, they are either biased or don't know or their test riders suck or whatever...

I hate those magazines if im trying to get some sort of accurate shootout I certinatly don't realy on a freaking magazine to give me un-biased results.

I wish someone would pay me to run an ATV magazine, I would do it right (that's prolly why no one would pay me to do it )

I read that shootout someone pointed too and if I remember right they rated Yahama in the top 3 consistantly, means they are good at everything but master of nothing I guess ?

Put the same wheels/tires on all three machines and have a route cut out that had every element: mud, snow, ruts, whoops, open fast areas sweeping corners and all maner of technical stuff in there too hills, up and down with corners, rock crawls everything imaginable then let the general public test the machines themselves with the requirement that they fill out questionares honestly. Remove all markings from the machines and make them the same colors and number them 1, 2, 3 etc...

I might put some stock in those findings, but not the crap magazines put out.

hell Id take a week off and drive/fly to a gathering such as that!

Magazines are full of crap.
I hardly ever put my griz in 4wd with the 26" dirt devils. I am sure that the 589's are awesome, but I am pretty happy with my dd's. It takes over 18" of slimy gooey mud to make me put it in 4wd. Unless I am trying not to get covered in mud.

my dad has a 2004 griz. we mainly ride it at Dumont Sand Dunes, the accleration is not the best from a dead stop, but from about 10 mph+ it really can take off. as far as powerslide and such, with every setting stock, i havent had the guts to try it, my dad has almost rolled it, but its cuz he was in 4x4 mode when he was turnin real fast. over all its a great machine, but you have to respect it cuz it will have no problem throwin you off.

I have both the 660 Grizz and P700, I ride woods trails and stripmine roads wide open and the P700 is the best IMO.
