I have a 2000 Kodiak also and have never taken it to the dealer with 60 hrs on it now.. at 20hrs i Changed the motor Oil and Oil Filter. Then at 40 hrs i changed the motor oil, and gear oil in the front and rear differential. Dont waste your money sending it back to the dealer for the first check up. I think they wanted 120$ for the first 20hr check up at my dealer.

60hrs/650 miles.. running great.

change the oil and spark plug, if its starting hard or running lean or rich you might want to have the carbs adjusted. but if its running great just change the oil and plugs and you should be good to go. the belt should last a while.. my bud has one that he beats the living h3ll out of and has never changed the belt..

Im using Yamalube and the factory oil filter. As far as the spark plug goes, I did not replace mine, i just checked the gap and condition. Its still fine, no need for replacing it so soon.
