Default Banshee experiments continue

Okay, with the advice here, ive done a little more homework. 1000' above the sea, 70 degrees outside, Banshee has pro circuit platinum pipes, with a billet adapter/ k&n filter, boost bottle. everything else on the breathing end is stock. Currently has stock jets besides a 300 main jet. I took a peek at the needle/clip and it's currently riding on the 5th notch from the blunt edge.

The power at low revvs/low gear is still kinda punchy and rough, but once into the powerband it runs like hell until just before the top of the gear. WOT in 4th gear feels like its overrevving, but pop into 5th and the bike surges strong again. 6th gear fealt kinda sluggish.

with a 300 main, and the needle as rich as I can get, is it even possible to be lean in the high end of the throttle? Would it hurt to try and set the needle a click lower?

contrary to what I posted last, ive decided it doesnt hesitate at low revvs. I believe its more of an erratic feeling like somethin shakin until it pops. just seems to want alot of throttle. when you peg the throttle it snaps right into shape until it goes past the pwerband and runs out of breath.

does anyone have anmore advice about needle position? If i were to try a different pilot jet, where can I buy em, and what size overstock would you suggest?

thanks

Try running the needle on the 3rd clip. Then do some plug checks and see what colors you come up with.
