I determine usually by the width of the chain.

You said in another thread that you purchased two additional links, when you asked for the links what did you say, did you ask for 520 links, or did they just give you something random?

Well I asked for 520 but I was told that they may have to be the same brand as the chain I have before they will work. And they are a different brand.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

I don't know what you are talking about with the different brands being different sizes, my friend has a renthal gold 520 chain on his 250r, and uses cheap no-name brand links and they work perfectly.

How is it the links "don't work" for you?

Well that is what they told me at my local yamaha shop. They have been wrong before. If I remember correctly the link is too big to fit through the chain. I will have to check again to make sure.

Do you have anyone that has a digital camera, it could easily be determined if i had a couple pictures. Also, they might have given you a 530 link, was/is there any writing on the packaging?

WE run a 14T front on our blaster & have NO problems w/ it hitting anything?? But then again when we bought ours is was in a box so I'm sure there was NO case saver LOL, sounds like you may have the wrong link like jibrille said hmmmm good luck [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
