Yamaha Discussions about Yamaha ATVs.

Does Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, etc. make extra gear packages on any of their quads/dirtbikes?

I've always been a devoted van of the above companies, but KTM does something very nice for the dirtbikes that would benefit the general public. The KTM 525sx is a four-speed monster. KTM offers a fifth & sixth gear kit for the KTM to make it much faster. To my knowledge I've never heard of Yamaha, Suzuki, or Honda offering such a conversion on any of there machines. All & any inputs are welcomed.... Just imagine a Raptor with more gears!!!!!!

I wasn't even aware KTM did such a thing.

..but yeah a 6th gear for the Raptor would be cool, just like overdrive.

That will be awesome, there's this quad called the "eraser" that has a KTM engine, that hauls ***. It was being raced against a DS, when the Ds was in 5th gear(they both were tied), the "eraser" still neede one more gear to go!
