Default FCR Throttle spring

Is there any lighter tension springs that make them easier to push?

Is it harder than the oem throttle carbs? I didnt feel any difference on mine. Call Sparks racing and ask them about it. Thats where I got mine from and they are like stock.

They are significantly stiffer than stock. It's about like a Banshee with PWK 35's.

1Bad doesn't a lectron have a spring above the slide like a stock carb? If it does you could take a coil or two off until it was where you liked it. The FCR's have a spring on the throttle shaft.

lowbowtie,
I got my carbs from Sparks, when they just started to offer the 690 kit to the public, I contacted them about the throttle spring and Scott sent me a lighter spring than what was on my carbs., Give Sparks a call and ask him about the spring. If they dont offer it anymore, I have the lighter spring that I could ship to you. I went to a twist throttle, so I did not have to use the lighter spring.

yeah the 39 fcr's have an extrememly stiff spring!!! i use a twist throttle so it doesn't bother me at all but when i had the thumb throttle it was unbearable especially duning!
