2 stroke question

Default 2 stroke question

i have a question on 2 stroke quads.(the blaster) you kno how ppl say ur suposed to rebuild the topend on 2 strokes every year? well what would happen to the quad if you didnt rebuild it?

It depends on your riding style and conditions, but 2 strokes do not need a new top end rebuild every year. You have been misinformed.

Now, if you have a high compression race machine with aggresive porting you do need to replace the top end more often, but only when compression begins to drop below a certain limit.

My cousin's 01 banshee is still running the stock pistons and rings, as is my friends 02.

Just dont hold it wide open and blow it up and you can go a long time on a set of rings and piston.

well id only be trail riding lightly not above 40mph and i wouldnt ride it hard

if you dont replace the top end nothing really happens...except the fact ur machines going to be sputtering on top end...which is annoying

well i wont be on topend that much cept mayeb the road but the speed limit is 35mph so lol
