read again scooby. "No long travel rail" will ever beat me. You guys are just too eager to argue

lol 100mph? whoopty f'ing doo...im at 94mph in 300 feet!

Last time i checked the topic was fastest on the site....not fastest on the planet. The FASTEST atv on the planet has ran a 3.1. I dont give a crap on what a book says.

funny thing is...you guys think im talking my bikes up, when in reality im just giving you the truth.

I don't know these guys and have no vested interest in their successes. I give them a "hat's off" because they have world reknowned and accepted PROOF of their ATV speed records. And by the way, the guy that most recently set the world record did not have a street bike engine installed, it was a modified Raptor motor. And he had to HOLD the speed for two consecutive passes over two miles averaging over 120 mph in an off-road condition. And he IS ON THIS FORUM. Traveling that speed over an off-road condition on an ATV had to be a real rush. Can't we accept that those are awesome achievements? Personnally, I can say GOOD JOB to these guys. They did an amazing feat and deserve the credit Guinness gave them. I also agree, a properly equipped Frankenstein ATV project quad probably could beat their records, so step up I say. I know there are faster bikes, they just need to be recognized officially. And by the way, I thought the topic was fastest, not quickest, bike.

congratulations. a guy can build a 60hp raptor and gear it to run 120mph

personally ill give more credit to a guy who can run 1/4 mile @ 300mph for that 4 seconds then a salt flats racer that takes a mile to run 600mph. That just isnt what i enjoy watching and either is a 2 mile race.

atv conditions? lol even the trophy trucks that run "atv" conditions dont average 100mph.

My Raptor is scary enough at 80mph, I don't even want to think about 120mph. Anyway hats off to the person that stayed on that 120mph Raptor.

Beech what are you doing up so late?????

Beach, I've chatted a couple times with ya in the past. Plz don't take me wrong, I consider you one of the best and it shows in your bike builds. Whether it's top speed or quickest acceleration or best lap times, there is a niche for everyone and somebody has bragging rights to be the best at their game. I would venture to guess that you either hold or could hold top honors in 300 feet! Do you hit your local race circuit? ASDA? I enjoy a good watching a competetive drag race, especially when the recognized big dogs go at it head to head. By the way, any chance you and your bike could make Dunefest next year as our guest?
Also, for all you serious motorheads out there, you should have seen the Raptor that was built for the land speed record!!!! Long, low, narrow, light and very mean. It was built to fill in the air void behind him with centerline exhaust and directed vortex generators, the wheels were streamlined, the body was a special development by a plastic maker of somesort (Raptor front end with NO radiator cutouts), the engine was runing on alcohol and NOS and it had a special one-off Elka suspension. I am trying to get pix of it through a mutual frind, but they are being very secretive until the record is official.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody.

We all know banshees are fast and maybe the fastest right now, but you know the 4 stroke world is advancing... Look at the JATO powered Raptor lol
