Default snow riding!!!

i live in northern Alberta and we have had snow here since early October and i gotta say it's a blast cruising around you just have to be a little careful when climbing some of the hills.

The tires are 27" ITP Mudlites, the wheels are ITP Type 5C's. They work pretty well in the snow, but I have another complete set with ITP 589's and they work alittle better in the snow.

The work great, its fun riding at that high....good thing I put on the windshield for the weekend or would have froze. When I got off to take the pictures, I was probably around zero degrees windchill...my fingers froze after about 10 pics....

The 589s are alittle better than Mudlites in the snow and alittle better in the mud also...

the tires can affect steering....

the main reason is the front end....even though the stock front tires were 26 inches, the Mudlites and ITPs are much wider.....I get a slight wobble on the front end after about 45mph.....it also feels that is floats on the front end some at high speeds.....55+ mph.....

but, if you want big tires, just a few things you have to put up with....now if they made wheels that were larger, and the amount of rubber in the larger tires smaller, then the front would probably be alittle more stable....

if you want the large tires spin on the spin balancer, you would realize that they are not very round....all 8 of my 27" tires spin like crap, we balanced them, but they are not like spin balancing a regular car tire or for that matter a regular ATV tire.....if you take a super big knobby mud/snow tire for a truck, you see these same characteristics appear....
