i have a powerwasher but wheni use it it rips decals and makes riples in the black fenders(look at pictures). using the straight hose doesn't have enough presure. what is there to get the dirt and mud of. and also what is a cheap way to get the dirt off that is baked on the engine?

if it's baked on it's tough to get rid of but you can try this .
Bring up to operating temp spray area with a penatrating oil of some type even ATF then let it cool and try a spray cleaner and then use your pressure washer just stay back a bit . Good luck

I've had the same prob with the power washer. I know this sounded like work but the best thing I've found is to wet the bike down with a hose for a while, and try to get all the thick stuff off, and then get after it with a bucket of soapy water and your mom's best s.o.s pad (wouldn't recommend putting it back in the sink afterwards). Seems like the longer you keep hitting it with the hose the softer the mud gets. Good luck

I just stop by one of those quarter car wash places on the way home. The one by me uses filtered water and whatever soap they use is the ****, it will take dirt out of scratches on white plastics.

Try this...before you go muddin. Spray on Armor All, or Black Magic etc. But don't wipe it off, when you wash it the stuff will peel right off. No.....not the decals, the mud. If it even cakes on at all.

If you want to spend the money you could take it to a Steamer/Mobile Hotwash. I'm not sure what it is called in the states, or if it is the same here. But they use many chemicals that can make an engine look new, removing any kind of burnt on oil or mud stain.
