hey ugly88, the 2500lb winch was supposed to be for the bigbear, but my dad put it on his grizz// so for my b-day i asked for a winch and my mom didnt know anything about winches, so she bought the biggest one, // when i got it in the mail, it said not for atvs, only for utilityy veichles,so i bought a multimount and it works great

see the kodiak is pretty bad price wise though

 

Quadsport it's almost not apples to apples anymore between these two.The Eiger is a good machine but very basic now compared to the Kodiak.I feel for the few hundred dollars extra the Kodiak is the way to go.You get a front locker,IRS,a few more cc's and liquid cooling.Performace wise they basically dead on and reliablilty wise it's a toss up too.I will say that EVERYONE I know that has a Kodiak or has had one NEVER had any troubles beyond maintainence.I truly believe this is one of Yamahas best efforts in the 4x4 area.
For the few extra bucks I would say Kodiak based on all the extras you get.Good luck
