to let all of you know, that high rev is normal. it revs high as a warning that its been in idle for long. if you notice you will se the reverse light blinking also. this happens on 04 an d above raptor that i knwo of. it also tends to rev high when you hit the reserve level on gas. read your owners manual and the maintenance manual i dont remember which one i read it on.

i forgot to add that if you move your quad a couple of feet idle will go back to normal again. check your temp light too and have the temp sensor tested mine would not turn the fan on and it revved when it was hot. its teh temp sensor at the botttom of the radiator.
