Two things here....
Yes, the Grizzly CDI box mod is the way to go for the speed.
Bur remember that Yamaha has sent dealers warnings on this issue about 6 months ago. They are prohibited to sell a Grizzly CDI box to anyone with knowing intentions of being installed on a Rhino. It's kind of like the age restriction thing though...what they don't know will not hurt them.
Installing it voids all warranies. The standard and the extended warranty. So if you do this mod, remove it before carrying it to your dealer for repair.
Yamaha's reason's for such strict actions on the CDI issue is that the Rhino is not engineered to be an off road vehicle going faster than what was determined from the factory and going faster exceeds the mechanical limits of the unit.
Basically, Yamaha is saying that they aren't going to standby what you tear up driving this machine faster than what it was designed for.
It's the owner's decision and the only important consideration should be whether or not your dealer is an @$$ when it comes to trying to get out of doing warranty work....LOL
The Rhino isn't the easiest machine to work around on and Yamaha only pays "factory" labor time and not "real world" labor time for the work.

Howdy,
I have a Rhino and it has been really useful around the ranch. I wouldnt go with the Grizzly cdi though. If you have the digidash, it wont work. BlackRhino sells a cdi for the Rhino that is compatable with the dash. Mine went from 42 mph stock to 51 mph with that cdi. I have 27" Mudlites too. Have a goodun!!
