I'm new here and thought I would say Hi. I just bought a Raptor 350 and the wife and I are planning on going riding tomorrow in GLouster, OH at my sisters house which is next to Wayne National forest. My wife own a 05 Ozark.

The 350 seems like it's going to be a great ride.

congrads, its a great feeling buying a bike. even better feeling getting it dirty in the trails and special feeling washing it like never before the next day. (youll know what i mean)

 

Congrats, remember to warm it up really good and then ride it like you stole it, screw the "break in" myth.

 

I know what you mean by washing it. I brought it home around 6:00pm drove around the local corn fields and was giving it first bath by 9:00pm. Heading out today to break it in. I'll let you know and post some pictures how it went.

I have a 05 raptor 350 as well and ill tell ya whats funs is watching it roll over ya and roll off down the hill backwards an roll a few times lol it sucked broke headlight ---handlebars and some scratches[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] but shes all better now-------------hope you have as much fun with yours as i do mine its a great atv good power for the hills

There's mixed opinons on the break in thing. For me i rode it as hard as i could when i first brought it home. I haven't had a problem with mine yet(knock on wood [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img])

Do a search and you will find a bunch of stuff on the subject.

 

Either way you'll have fun, i give it about a week until you realize that the bike is too slow and you start looking at mods, it has more then enough power for trails, but running with the crew that i run with(banshee, yfz 450, 400ex, blaster), you need more.
