Default Warrior engine questions.

I have a few questions because I am getting ready to rebuild the top end in my Warrior.

Is changing the piston and rings hard on a 4 stroke?
How do you check if valve seals are bad and if they are are they easy to replace or can you even replace them?
Would a good dealer happen to have a piston and rings in stock?

Anything else you think would be helpful, please let me know.

Thanks

No motor is difficult, but there is alot involved. Rings are cake, but you need some special tools to get them into the jug. Go get the service manual or look at one online and see what your getting yourself into, then decide if you want to do it or not

You can do a basic piston replacement without taking the engine out, if you go up in size, remember to give the piston to the shop so they can bore the jug to fit the piston, they tend to vary a little. You don't need any special tools to put the piston in the jug, on my Wolverine, (same motor) I just put the jug on the piston, then you use your fingers to compress the ring, and the jug drops down to the next one, the bottom of the jug is tapered, so it isn't real hard, just getting the last one in can take a little jiggling. Everything else goes right in, the best thing to do is get a Clymer or Haynes manual, they have pictures and step by step instructions.
