Default Modifications for Kodiak 450

Hey there are a few mods out for the 05 kodiak yet some of them you have to research they are not advertised. My question is the kodiak is a bit underpowered and I wanted to do a Big Bore kit but you have to do 4 of them in order for the company to design them. So I am one if I can get 3 more we can get a big bore kit on the market but otherwise its just to pricey to pay for it all on my own.

I would if I could find a used engine to buy. I bought the kodiak because I like the size of the fourwheeler but now I just wanted a little more power just not the overall size to go with it. So if you know of a 660 engine for sale let me know I would try it. Or a 600cc r6 motor would work

Yeah you can do all the same mods I have. I have had quite a few atvs and bang for the buck this is the best mid size 4x4 atv i have ever owned. You can get all the mods though let me know if you get one I will tell you where you can get the parts and the part numbers. As they dont make an exhaust or intake specifically for the 05 kodiak

Hey Weaver, Did you put the clutch kit on before you done the other mods? If so how much did it help it? Did it have enough low end pull it or did it bog a little down when you gun it? In all how much did all your mods improve performance. Thanks!

For exhuast I would recomend HMF if you have considered it. It really brought mine to life, hangs right with a Rincon 650.

My 8 year old kids Grizzly 125 would hang right with a Rincon, LOL.

And speaking of the big bore kit for the Kodiak 450 that you have been talking about, ... who makes it? Are you talking about a Four Stroke Tech big bore kit, or LA Sleeve, or someone else altogether? And how many cc's will it increase the 421cc Kodiak engine by? Do we need to bore the cylinder and re-sleeve it? Or does it also include a stroker crank? Does it include cam and valve spring changes? How about giving us some specific information so we can consider this more seriously?

Well the big bore kits are not on the market for the 450 because they say there is no demand for them. I talked to a guy about doing a custom kit we are still doing some research on it right now as i get all the details i will let you know incase you are interested in it. Right now you cant buy intake or exhaust for the 05 model but trust me there are others that fit if your interested. I know another company that will do a kit if we have 4 people buy in,
