is 06 really the last year?
I'm not saying your totally wrong but I have a bit of a hard time believing this. Every year, i believe its in August, Yamaha has a dealer show to present the models that will be released for the new year and sometimes possible changes for the year following. If there were a book of projected models, why would the dealer show be such a big deal? I know that no dealer was certain about the Raptor being in the 2001 lineup until the 2000 dealer show which I believe was held in Pennsylvania that year. Until the show, dealers could do no more than speculate like the rest of us. I could be wrong, but I have never heard anything about such a book when Mark and I have discussed upcoming lineup changes.

Yamaha will keep making Banshee's until the parts are used up. It may be designated as an '06, but if there are surplus parts, and mainly engines, they will be used.
I have seen them do this with snowmobiles when they discontinue a model.
It is quite possible that the '06 maybe from supplus parts and when they run out, that's it.

But when most of the sales come from the states.... and with a drop of sales, no more production. Europe does a lot of off-roading as well, but from what I understand, most of them guys like the newer 4-stroke bikes. It is all about how much and where the money is coming from.

hey is it like bash canada day or something. were pretty much just like you guys. ride quads, eat, sleep... anyways Shav0 i see wher eyou are coming from but it is most likely that if they discontinue the banshee in the states they wont make their way to canada either. i doubt they will have a quad produces in canada that is not right across the border. my prediction is that next year will be its last and that is that. it wont be for just one country or whatever but everywhere. now hopefully yamaha answers everyones prayers by making it a truly amazing machine.

If yamaha was smart in 06 they would make a huge surplus of banshee's maybe like 8x more than they normally make in a year. Alot of people will want 06 banshee's so there will be a high demand. Not 8x more but if they made 8x more all the surplus would technically be legal since it was manufactured in 06 and maybe dealers would have enough to sell for a few more years using "new" older modles
