Default Raptor top end troubles (decompression)

My one-way bolts sheared while I was going about 40 mph,,,,and one of the bolts got jammed temporarily locking up the motor

I fixed the 1 way trouble,,,,the chain is fine, tensioner was fine, crank gear was fine,,one way gear showed some signs of chewing but was fine.

Valves are in check,,,and i can witness the left exhaust valve decompress slighty after the stroke.

Problem is,,,the starter wont turn the motor,,,unless the choke is on,,,and i give in no throttle (restricting air).

When is does start is has a clack that comes from the top end and if you give it gas,,,,it dies.

Its acting like the decompression isnt working properly.

Has anyone had this problem,,,,did some thing shear,,,,or is the decompression not engaging fully.

Any cam guys out there??

could it be something else?

That is still somewhat a sign of the one-way with the clink from the top end. Mine does it too, and it started when the one way started to go out and it is getting worse. The bearing is engaging and when it grabs, the bearing lets go at the top of the compression stroke. Don't hold me to it, but that is what mine is doing and that's what I think is going on. Maybe someone else here has a more definate answer.

It could be that the cam jumped time when things let loose. That's what I would check first.

Check everything carefully.Mine recently scattered and broke the chain, 2 exhaust rocker arms, camshaft and the rest of the decmop mechanisim is mangeled and gouged the head (the head is ok though)Mine was a result of what looks like the pin that that is pressed into the cam gear sheared and the rest turned loose. My one way did not cause it. I replaced mine with the L&A before the original gave any trouble.Other people have had similar trouble.
