Mine usually ran alittle lean in cold winter temp's here in WV on my Raptor with just the Alba stage three pipe kit.

 

I am running the Sparks X-6 and 195/200 jetting and my pipe glows red at night even at idle...(and it is running a bit fat according to my plug) and dyno results show it is just about rite.....This is pretty normal i think...Alot of guys don't even look at their pipes at night so don't know...but I'm willing to bet that you would all be a bit surprised to see that they all glow a bit at night.

 

I had my pipe glow one time...and that was after I put in a new NGK Racing spark plug. I made two drag races with the plug and then swapped back to my basic plug and it hasn't happened since. Of course now I'm not running the alba set up.

 

I know ...it's wierd...I am even running one step colder than stock and it still glows. I thought is was normal but I may have to consult the Raptor Master for his knowledgable opinion....The wierd part is that my fan never comes on even after like 5 or 6 races in a row up the hills.

 

Raj, I think your probably fine with that set-up, especially if the bike is running good. I have the exact same set-up and my headers glow at night as well.

 

Thanks for the advice, we are going to pickup a couple larger jets and go from there. Do a few plug checks, and then run the guts out of it!

 

Badday how do you like the alba exhaust for the warrior, are you happy with it?

 

The jets they sent was a 155 & 160, the jets are the same in my Pred. and I have a 165. I think we will try the 165, on the right side and use the 160 on the left.
