Default Raptor Clutch help needed.....please

I will be taking out the EBC I have in there now. I know it had the two different fiber plates and stronger springs. But has always not felt right. Looked at it again and still all looked correct. So all I can do now is put in a new clutch, just want to make sure it will work. I might just stick my stock clutch back in, it was working fine. I just changed because my case started leaking and figured I would change the clutch while I had it open. Should of went with the saying if it aint broke don't F with it.

How do you get to that last bolt. I wound up taking my whole motor out. Glad I did because the rod was worn a bit so I'm replacing it. In the future however how do you remove the clutch cover? I assume you need to angle it somehow to get to that last bolt... do you angle up or down?

ahhhh yes that annoyinh little bolt on the bottom left of the cluutch cover. It ALMOST seems like you have to take the motor out, but you just need to move the case around at weird angles and make sure that bolt is pushed in halfway so it doesnt catch on the frame. It was a real pain in the butt for me as well.........

I think I'm going to do what garyc660R did... completely discard that one bolt.

That bolt sure caused me a lot of trouble, however leaving it out runs the risk of a leak of oil in the corner....

Dfitz,

No.. not yet. My motor is still all apart. I'm dropping the bottom end off to a place to replace the rod. The rod has some unsual wear so instead of slapping it all together knowing there is a problem I'm delayed in riding my machine.

whats wrong with you people, a 8mm open end wrench will take take of that one perticular bolt, it doesn take me more than 15 min to completly change my clutch. if you were going to take the motor out of the frame, WHILE YOU HAVE IT OUT, I STRONGLY SUGGEST HELI-COIL EVERY THREAD FOR SUPERIOR STRENGTH.

I can wrench on that bolt.. but removing it is another matter. The bolt hits the frame therefore not being able to remove it. Care to share your experience on how you removed that pain in the **** bolt?
