Now that the 450 has been around for a few years, was wondering how they are holding up?
Not the tricked out and modded racing bikes but you folks who have a stock or a close to stock quad.

All I have to say is great! Not one single problem, and I push it pretty hard.

 

I ride with a bunch of 450 guys and I'm impressed with them, They are a little stiff in the ride but not too bad.

 

Ours is basicly stock (airbox lid off, no baffle) and it runs great! The only problem was our fault (spark plug its a long story) Great bike, I love it!

 

Def get an 05, they changed couple things, like little softer seat,softer shocks,removing decomo plug, aluminum shifter and brakes. A piped filtered yfz are pretty fast. Also matters what type of riding you do, most people dont like YFZ for smal tight turns, but bill ballance does pretty good with the YFZ.

These little machines are great, they have great acceleration if you don't know, and haven't had a single problem yet, I hope I don't. And also you could do some mods with out paying any thing like taking off the airbox lid and the cam mod also.

 

well its been a perfect quad for me fast and dependable battery went bad after a year thats it
