I use two gray medium sized ones I picked up from a tractor supply store. there are also some small ones out there, but I like the longer ones because they give you more leverage.

for taking the tire off the rim, I use a drill press. I put the tire on the plateform and put a large bolt in the press and pull down on the the lever, which makes the bolt push down on the tire right next to the rim. I make my way around the tire spraying soapy water in while pushing down on the tire. works everytime. the press is always off when I do this.

for putting the tire on the rim, I use the spoons, soapy water or fluid film, and an air compressor and sometimes a rachet tie-down. use the spoons to get the tire loosely on the rim. spray the rim and tire with the soapy water or fluid film. inflate tire to recommended psi. if tire isn't beading, put a rachet tie-down around the tire, before inflating, to make the tire expand outward instead of upward. just make sure to deflate the tire before taking off the tie-down.

hope this helps.

How much pressure can you use and not damage the rim with the spoons?

not sure what ya mean? are you talking about putting the tire on the rim or taking it off? you just use the spoons when the tire is not beaded on the rim. the spoons get a loose tire on and off the rim.

Any other bead breakers. I can do the drill press at home, but I want something to carry in my trailer.
