I was wondering if anyone had an idea of what it is going to cost me to have my wife's Warrior engine rebuilt. The boot to the airbox slipped off for about 1/2 a dusty day and now it is blowing oil and rattling a lot. Has anyone had an entire engine rebuild done and how much did it cost. Would it be better to go with stock or go with aftermarket? What would the price difference be?

That seems to happen a lot to warriors. I bought a '92 that needed an overhaul because of the same thing. If you're lucky, it'll only need a re-ring job. That'll cost around $100 in parts, assuming you do the labor yourself (it's really fairly easy). I re-ringed that '92 in an evening, taking my time. If it needs to be bored, add $70-85 bucks for a piston, and about $65 for the shop to bore the cylinder. I'd guess a shop would charge about 5 hours to do an overhaul, at about $50 an hour...$250 shop time + $185 (if it needs a piston) for a grand total of $435. Now if it needs bottom end attention, well, that's a whole different ball game. You might get away from a shop for less than a grand in that case-if you're lucky..
