how many paddles on a 686-727
i usually use 22-11-8 ten paddle haulers on my raptor but as others have said you can find yourself getting bogged down unless the sand is very dry which is not too often around here.I am going to buy a set of 22"8 paddle haulers for my 690 on .125 wheels and i think i will se a pretty big improvement with that set up for drag racing.I get excellent holeshots with the ten paddle but i am finding that with the extra power that i now have it is quite a chore to keep the front end on the ground even with a 4" over swingarm.

I think maybe a 9 paddle would be perfect. However on the nitrous the 10 paddles don't bog when hitting 2nd. 7 paddle isn't enoug for 300' flat drags. Those are hillshooting tires. Holeshot is everything in 300'!

Going from first to second is the widest spead in ratios and may be the reason for the bog.
Gear ratio
1st gear 34/14 (2.428)
2nd gear 29/19 (1.526)
3rd gear 26/21 (1.238)
4th gear 22/21 (1.047)
5th gear 19/21 (0.904)
