OK does your raptor smoke after it's stood up on it's tail for maintenence, transport...

My blue Raptor stands up for transport where ever it goes, from a few hours to overnight.

 

mine doesnt smoke, the only problem mine has after standing it on the rear grab bar is i have to wait a few minutes before it will start from being flooded.does it only smoke after its been stood on its hind legs?

 

You peeps need to run the gas out of the carbs before standing on end.

no if you just turn off the gas then there will still be gas in the carb, it will then leak or still cuase flooding. i always run my carbs out of gas before i transport them anyware. just be carefull with like 2 strokes i have seen badly scored cylinders from when they let it run to loing with out enough gas in the cylinders to lube them. so i always just hit the kill switch when it starts to get loouder than normal

 

Well....I guess me and you have the only 2 that smoke...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]. Even after running the gas out and shutting off the petcock, when I stand it up for maintanance then let it back down, I fire it up and it smokes. Not muuch smoke, just enough to notice.....

Its done it since I bought it in '02, but haven't had any problems with the engine, so I'm not concerned with it.....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
