Do you wash off ALL dirt/mud underneath the ATV?

What works really good is if you get some Castrol Super Clean (in the purple spray bottle) and spray it on really good then let it sit for a while. Then just power wash it off. Looks like brand new everytime!

i use wd40 on my chain after every wash, i use a high pressure sprayer at the car wash, after i use stp sun of a gun or armorall or any vinyl shine plastric protector i can find. it makes it easier to clean after ever getting it muddy. i don't recomend getting wd 40 on your muffler. i did once and th bike started smoking where i sprayed it. winter time i use white lithium spray grease on my chains for extra water protection due to not cleaning my bike after every ride due to night time snow riding. summer time you want to clean the greese off due to sand sticking to the greese though. and ust go back to wd40.

I dont have a power washer so ill have to borrow one, in which case ill do it in the spring to get all the salt and stuff off of it. Has anyone ever heard of using WD-40 or PAM on the quad to keep it clean before rides?

Its better to wash it off than leave that nasty gritty mud and sand on your quad and let that stuff eat at all the moving parts. I wash mine off every time I am done with it. I've never had any of the moving parts freeze up on me or rust up. I'd squirt some zep or wd40 on all your pivot points so it will protect it from water. My buddy used some of this wax stuff on his plastics on his quad and it works great! Mud won't stick to your plastics as much when you are riding and when you wash it off if comes off easy.

yes, u really should wash it off...
i didnt really do that on my old kodiak, as i washed it 3-4 times a year, and mudded hard once a week. every time i washed it, id take the skidplate off because there was always 50-60 lbs of dirt in it...
if you dont wash it, it will eat bearings, ball joints, and more.
