Thanks YFZ660R, Its nice to see some people around here that aren't talking smack all the time
The Vitos kit is by far ported. What they do is send you a super stock piston kit with it, that alters the port timing, but dosn't really increase the flow. Their piston kits raise the exhaust port by cutting a groove on the top of the piston that opens the port sooner. It works mind you, but not half as good as what a properly ported engine can do. In order to get the real power the transfer ports need to be cut and shaped. The intake on a stock blaster is extremely restrictive and can be opened up for alot more power. As I said before, a properly ported 240 can walk on 400's. In some cases you may not get them on top speed, but power wise they can't keep up. I do alot of hillcimbling where Im from and let me tell you, the Ex's and Z's just can't keep up...It's all about the power:weight ratio.
My last motor had amazing power. People pratically died when I told them it's a blaster (sence it dosn't really look like one anymore.) Im having a new one made as we speak. Its a 240 bore, ported to the MAX, with boost ports and all. Its got a +5mm wseico longrod crank with the counter balancer removed for instant power, and also 8oz off the flywheel. This thing is going to be instant power from 1st-6th.
