240 vs 400ex

Drag race, you sure would give him a tough fight, it depends how good your 240 was build. For trails, if your a better rider, you will be able to handle the crappy suspension on the blaster, if not, say bye bye to the 400.

well hear is results from a actually waved drag
2001 blaster with
fmf gold series, and turbine core 2, no airbox snorkel, jetted to perfection
wiseco .020 over piston, reed spacer
20 inch tires.
vs.
2001 400ex with
Dg bumper
Dg full skid plates
20 inch tires
the blaster and 400 were dead even till second gear, from the holshot , then the 400 quickly walked on the blaster as soon as i hit 3rd gear, by 4th i was gone and didnt need 5th.
blasters are quick tho just dont have a good topend, it seems when you hit 5th gear they level off, as compare to a warrior it keeps pulling the gear.

The fastest Blaster I've seen was built pretty good (don't know what all) and the kid weighed like 75 lbs. I had no problem with it but it was giving some of the other 400s (EXs and Zs) a good run for about 200ft then they would catch it.

No, A stock vitos 240 WILL NOT beat a 400ex, or Z400. Those kits come with no port work at all which is what really makes the power. The extra CC's actually do very little without the increased flow from port work and a larger carb. It can be done tho, mine walks all over 400's..easily.
