taking baffle out of rappy stock muffler?

Default taking baffle out of rappy stock muffler?
thanks for the info i was wondering because my fathers friend has an01 big bear and he lost the baffle then the bike started to take oil really bad ( a quart per ride )

he probably ran it lean and smoked the top end, just keep tabs on that.
