Default winch draining battery.

i just installed my winch, and fired my quad right up, then i revved the engine, and the winch works. my cousin pulled the winch in with the quad off, then i only got one good spark out of the starter before there was nuthin and i had to pull it. any advice?

Winches are known power hogs. Usually everyone keeps the quad running at a fast idle while using it.
One pull on the winch and the battery dies? Sounds like the battery is on the way out, you might want to pull the battery and have it load tested.
