I saw the add in dirt wheels. They look pritty cool. Just wondering on the performance. Has anyone tried them. I am looking for a good recreational/MX pipe. I am also considering the Duncan pipes, anyone else using them? What other pipes are you guys using and recommend.
Thanks,
Tom

I called them today, I wasn't impressed with their tech help. I'm also curious as to how they perform. I am impressed with Toomey's website and tech line, unless I hear something overwhelming about DMC's I'll probably go with the T-5's.

DMC pipes are kind of like the Moto fast two into one pipe. They are designed for more low and mid range and maybe a hair on top. It should gain power lower down in the rpm range and keep building power until they sign off (about the same rpm as the stock pipes). I don't like how they mount the silencer under the grab bar... you'll lose your tail light and you can't add a six pack rack. You might be better off getting FMF/Toomeys and regear for the track.

If I read the chart right they top out at about 40 hp. With the bolt on kit from duncan I ran a 46.5 on the dyno. Just something to think about.

What did the Paul Turner kit consist of? How much did it cost?

Forget the T-5's and Paul Turner. Although the Toomeys are good pipes, they are way overpriced. The Paul Turners are just plain overpriced and not that good. Save some cash and some ego and go for some FMF's. I spent 550 on a whole Power Package that included the Pipes/Silencers, Boyesen Dual stage reeds, Reed spacers, and boost bottle. I cant count how many t-5's ive beat, for much cheaper. I can count the number of Paul turners Ive crushed. Exactly 2. So the morale of the story is, buy the pretty Chrome t-5's and Pauline Turners and get beat, or invest in a total package and beat the pretty boys...

How does the finish on the pipes look after a few rides? Do the pipes start turning blue or changing colors? I have heard of that problem with FMF pipes for the Banshee. What kind of difference in power did they make? What would you estimate the top speed of your machine is now? Thanks.

If you really want awsome pipes, you should look into LRD. I bought these a year ago and I was very impressed with them. Plus they are adjustable too.
