When i had my banshee the longest wheelie i rode on it was about a 1/4 mile. 400ex,450r, and yfz450's can go 2 plus miles on each.

 

heh, 2 miles, my longest distance is about 1/8th mile...thats all the flat open land we got...

last time a guy did a wheelie on our trail, he ended up meeting a tree with his sp600...frame almost bent right into the radiator, was only bout 1/8th inch away, lucky him

 

You need to be able to feel the balance of the quad and learn smooth brake and throttle controls. Once you master this you should be able to do wheelies for miles.(if you have the room)
Longest one I've done is around a mile/1.5 miles in a field. Ran out of room after circleing it a few times. Once you get good at controling them you can start pulling of tricks like no footers, bar hops, nac nacs, can cans, supermans, etc..
