who has seen it, and what did you think?

i have wathched it about 5 times now and i think it is great
the way it is shot is so awesome
you can see so many details when a film camera is used and especially at a high frame rate like up to 120fps
check the farr section and watch for the dust when the exhaust pops the groung while the quad is in the air
it is much better to me than 4-6
my only complaint is the soundtrack i miss the kmk tracks from the first 3
anyways it shows quite a few jon guetter flips
also a few different thing like street riding in the dominican republic
and the philly drag race section
the different sections like these is what i think was missing from the rest of the series
although he did shoot at st anthonys
i just think that wes miller needs to go shoot more freeriding at places that we ride all the time
little sahara, glamis, etc
which he did cover in the first 3 but slimmed down in 4-6

i have heard of people ranting and raving about carpe diem (it is okay) but this movie just buries it
huevos is 10 times better

1,2, and Quadros Locos are the only good ones in my opinion. Huevos is trying to be what Crusty is for bikes. It doesn't work.

I think about 5+ are boring.

it is similar to other huevos dvd's

I have no complaints, as there are not enough videos out on the market as it is....so I support what is out there

i do think that they are tryin too hard to bring out a new one every year
but as far as the cinematography itself huevos is way better than crusty
it is a little bit different than taking your digital 8 camcorder out there and videotaping a day of riding
it cost a lot more than you think to make a movie with film
plus the movie is an hour long what more can you ask for
you try and make an hour long video. after you edit you realize how much film is wasted and with a real film camera it gets expensive
i mean some prices just to rent a 16mm film camera can be more than 450 dollars a day only a body no film
on ebay they go for around 3grand for a body and lens kit some up to 5 grand for the body only
some of the lenses he uses probably could go up to 2grand easily considering that a lens for my 35mm film camera goes for about 500-1000 for a fisheye
just a standard zoom lens up to 700 a piece
the film sells for 30 bucks a hundred foot spool which lasts for about 20 minutes but on all the slow motion stuff it uses much more film like about maybe 3-4minutes worth if that

and also to edit the film you have to splice it no computers
so there you have it maybe you can respect the movie as a little bit of art and appreciate how much wes miller devotes himself to these movies

I would be pretty suprised to find out that they don't get the 16 transferred to dv for editing. Not many people still splice film... I agree with you on everything else 100% though.
