Default Batteries

We just recently went through a real cold week here in Arkansas. I guess the cold drained the battery. I have had my Raptor for a little over a year, and I called the service department and asked them about the battery. They told me that the batteries last only about 6-12 months, and new ones are around $80. I've got it on the charger right now. If the battery doesn't hold a charge, is there a cheaper place to get these batteries? Will a regular lawn mower battery from wal-mart work. Thanks for any help
John

also, if anyone has a stock size, 2003 Raptor front rim for sale, i would be more then happy to pay for shipping and a little money for the rim.

Default Batteries

I think they are fillin' ya with a bunch of crap! I bought my Kodiak in 2000, live in Wisconsin, and ride in the winter quite a bit. Gets pretty cold up this way. I have yet to have any problems with my battery. I do keep the ride in my garage. Even at -15 F , siting out in the snow, my machine still fires up, though it may crank over kinda slow.
