YFZ revving is weard
hey guys is this normal?
just bought a new not even trail ridden yet 05 special edition, put on a Yoshi pipe
jetted the carb with a 48 pilot, a 170 main, NCVQ at clip #3 and turned the mixture screw to 2 3/4
and removed the airbox lid per yoshi specs..
when I get on this thing it hauls *** but during 1st or second gear it feels like it revs out if I give it full throttle
but as I ease the throttle up, still hauling *** and shift into 3rd 4th and 5ith the engine dosent rev out...
is this normal due to the yfz's style of revving??
Please let me know.. thanks!

I took it up to my local dealer and he told me that its normal for the YFZ.... its the REV LIMITER
the YFZ allready has a high rev rate so when you stay in first/second just a tad to long you notice it revs down..
so thats makes me feel better... its just a matter of learning how to shift a high peformance bike, he even looked at my pipe install and fired the bike up, checked it out at a gradual full throttle and told me i did a good job... and in the process i bought and installed a pro flow filter with airbox mod (pretty bad ***)
