Stuck

First off i would like to say tha tall of you guys are a big help. But once again i fall prey to other peoples opinion. I really want that yfz 450 for its good power and jumpin capabilities. I want a quad that i can jump a lot and can to to the track occasionaly and i can dune and trail ride and it also has good power right out of the box. I also heard that people like the z400 and it would be a better choice cause of the reverse and stuff. People say they make about the same power and can be raced right out of the box. Im like WHAT!! So i just want to make sure that i am main the right choice with the yfz 450. Or would the z400 be the way to go. I also heard that the yfz has a really uncofortable seat.
Please Help Thanx

if you have the $$$ the YFZ is a better bike in everyway. The YFZ is a step ahead of the z400 in power and handling, and you could bring a YFZ to the track and have a blast, both are great bikes, but the YFZ edges it out here.

Well they are both very nice quads.
I like the YFZ much better though. Alot more power, much better suspension, and it handles great. The seat on the 04 models is rather uncomfortable, but there made to be raced, and when racing, you stand more then you sit, if you sit at all. But when I rode one, I never had a problem with the seat.
Now, I guess if all you do is trail ride, the Z might be better. It depends though.
The Z had nice power, but it felt too tall to me, like it sat to high off of the ground, and didn't seem like it would corner all that great at higher speeds. The seat was comfortable, and reverse I guess is a nice feature.
About reverse though, let me put it this way. I have a 97 Yamaha Warrior that I road for a while, used reverse, and you know, it was a good quad. My next quad up from that was an 87' 250r. No reverse on that machine. Then I got my 00' 400ex. No reverse either. To tell the truth, I have never been in any situation while trail riding where I desperatley needed reverse. It might have been nice, but it hasn't hurt me to get off and push it at all.
I guess with all his mods though, Doug Gust has had luck on his Z. But again, he has over what 5 grand just in suspension.
If it we're me, I'd definatly go with the YFZ. If you like to jump, and track ride, you'll love it.
If your more of an all time trail person, you may like the Z more then the YFZ on trails because of the suspension.
From what you have typed, sounds like the YFZ is perfect. Or, I'd check out the 450r. They are both sick quads.
