Default Bore kit for my 04 Raptor

i have a 04 Raptor, and i want to get more power out of it, i want to get a bore kit for it but i have heard nasty stories of how un-reliable they are once your start breaking into the engine with bore kits etc. What size bore kit would give me more power but not kill the reliability of my quad? how much would this run me too, i want it done right to get all of the possible power i can get from the bore kit. Thanks for all the info

well, you might want to sell that DMC and buy a better exhaust, HMF for example, will give you alot more power then the DMC, that might be holding you back. But besides that, try a Hot Cam Stage 1 and a 11:1 Piston, bore it out to a 686cc, 102mm piston .

Why get rid of DMC for a HMF? I think the DMC is alright, but if you want a better pipe, CT and sparks. Well enough of that. When you bore out a quad you wont loose reliability unless it's build wrong or yout don't give it proper care. Right now there is many big bore kits out there, I'm personally going with Craycraft Racing, many of the forum members seem to love his work and the performance. I'm sure one of them will come in and tell you everything. But remember, money is speed.

most people on here know that the power from a raptor comes from the port and polish, who does it depends on how its going to run, anything in the 690's and above and tyour going to need to by a new rod. if i was you, i would bore to 666 11:1 piston, then get a hot cam stage 2, stiffer vavles, then have craycraft port your head. all of this can be done for a mere $800, you'll love it, oh and by the way dump that dmc pipe and get a sparks hmf or ct.
