tec77..

If all your friend has on his KFX are Yoshi's and an ignition, you won't have much problem with passing him in 3rd just as fast as you have before. The kfx needs some serious intake and clutch mods to leave a piped Raptor behind. You won't have much to worry about from him. You should go out and practice your holeshots and quick gear changes. You might be able to pass him sooner than you have before.

In reality - vtwiner is right. Your raptor will beat that heavy weight machine in third every time. If you really want to toast him, put a 12 tooth sprocket on the front and start in second and you will be amazed!!! Then if you have some money to spend get the port work, piston upgrade and he will NEVER catch up. My buddy raced a NOS KFX700 and beat him everytime. Them things need some serrious gearing work which is hard to do because of the auto trans.

Sounds like I need to go and get me a 12 tooth sprocket. I put one of those on my Warrior and the difference was amazing. I appreciate all the input people. I got a warranty on it so I don't want to do any engine mods to void it. I will put the 12 tooth on....... run the VForce and post the results. Thanks.

Those jets don't sound big enough, but I could be incorrect.

There are a lot of variables in jetting. Airbox setup, altitude and more will change your jetting dramatically so its hard to compare two bikes unless the equipment and environment are pretty similar.
