Blaster snorkel
#1
Tomorrow I'm going to start making a snorkel for the stock airbox for my Blaster. I'm going to run 2 inch tubing from airbox opening underneath tank and ending it somewhere behind the grill. I'm probably going to throw on a rectangular filter at the end of tubing and ditch the one in box. Has anybody ever tried this or seen it anywhere? I'm doing this because I ride in muddy/rainy conditions. Anybody see any issues I might run into? Thanks

i dont think you should do it to the blaster with a pipe, because its going to severely rob your horsepower, but we cant even try to suggest what jets you should try if you cant tell us what u have in now, and if its running lean or rich

id run it under the gas tank cover and have it come up on the handle bars and have the opening face the back of the machine.... i wouldnt wnat it facing the direction that the water is heading in. id run more htan a 2 inch pipe... idk if 2 inches is enought but it seems a lil small for me. id run like 1/2 and inch bigger than the snorkle is. good luck tho

id put a k&n in the box cause it might help flow a lil more air with such a long snorkle.... your probly gona be one of the only people with a snorkel on a blaster. i thought about it but never tryed it. good luck tho

It's ok, I like to be different. It's only an experiment, the stock snorkel I think is crap so I run without it, so that leaves the box with just the hole which is in a bad place bc lots of mud gets caught up in it, so I figure a snorkel might help. As for the jet, does 240 sound right? I'm going to crack open carb sometime this week to clean it so I'll find out for sure later. thanks for all your opinions.
