Ok heres the deal,I have a 2000 400ex that I truely love,its pretty much stock except for the ceet graffix,skid plates and renthal handle bars.A friend of mine offered me $5000 for the 400ex which is paid off for right now.I can finace the difference for the raptor but my question is it worth the extra $2000 for the raptor.Im not talking just the power and speed compared to he 400ex because we all no that its night and day.Please give me your onest opinion and im going down tommorow and putting down a deposit.I went down to a dealer today and they had one in the shop that they were prepping to be delivered and i must say the thing looks tottaly awsome and makes the 400ex look like a $2000 quad when you compare them.All the help you can give me would be great.

 

400ex Owner, Overall you will not find a better machine. Save your 2000 and have fun.

 

let the raptors be out for awhile. you will probably find that unless you are doing a straight horsepower race, the 2,000 won't be woth it

 

yeah, so send your friend to me. I'll sell him my 2000 400EX with Big Gun Exhaust, K&N Dyno Jet kit, DG Nerfs, DG Skids, DG Six Pack Rack, Shockwears, Maxxis Alltracks, and Douglas Rims for the same $5000 bucks. I'll even meet him somewhere close buy!

My brother has been trying to sell his 400EX since he found out about the Raptor on June 7. He is willing to let it go for $4500 and still no one has called.

As far as the other guy saying that the 400ex is the best quad, *how the hell does he know*.

I mean seriously, it has barely been out a week. It hasnt been proven, it could be a colossal failure of an ATV or it could be the greatest success. Only time will tell.

I had a 99 400ex and sold for a Raptor (i am still waiting) to me the 400ex was nothing but a slow unstable piece of CRAP.

Well its not that bad but i made the mistake of listing to all the hype and the hype was way overated...YAMAHA all the way. even if the Raptor isnt what i expect it to be it will still be better than a 400ex. and that is my opion......
