Mikuni vs Dynojet
#1
Do the stock 660r carbs run better jetted with the Mikuni jet kit or the Dynojet stage 2 kit? I have heard that mikuni jets are slightly larger and offer more precise jetting. On the other hand the Dynojet kit includes the needles, and springs. Why the big difference between the two and what do the springs in the dynojet kit do from a performance perspective?

IMO DJ needles seem to work better on stock or piped bikes, especially with the airbox lid on or just a few holes in it. Otherwise Mikuni provides a better jetting basis. Mains are mains and really dont matter all that much in reference from one brand to another. I like the mikuni mains better though.

I called dyno jet when one of my springs broke and the guy told me they are pretty much the same as the stockers. Im running a slightly modded raptor with NO airbox and Im using 180/185 dynos, no problems so far and the plug looks PERFECT.
