Default 94 Warrior w/ a Banshee engine

OK....so today I picked up this 94 warrior where the owner claims to have a banshee engine in it. I brought it to a shop where the mechanic told me it was an RD-350 motor that came out of a streetbike! does anyone know anything about this engine or is it at all similar to a banshee engine??? I haven't gotten a chance to ride it because it needs a new ingnition although my mechanic claims that its much faster than a stock warrior. I figured for $800 I couldn't go wrong.
Any input much appreciated.

40hp out of a 1975 motorcycle engine, i doubt it! thats more then a 660R, if it does though that thing will be a Rocket!!!

I am pritty sure that is the street bike engine that the banshee later adopted.

California banned this bikes sale because of the emissions. Many were sold pre banned. The motor was later developed for the Banshee. Remeber that the RD 350 was designed for a thin motorcyle tire not the ATV size tires of the Banshee. I would take a good look at the crank to make sure it hasnt separated or developed any twist. It was one of the fastest street bikes of its time. I think the State of California was scared of its acceleration more than the smoke it released.
